Almost a year ago, my friend Jake and I were at work. He had stumbled upon a classic music video for Warrant's Heaven and decided to send me the link via instant messenger. No warning, no context. Just a YouTube link.
In response, I sent him a link to another music video on YouTube, this one featuring the music of Stan Bush's You've Got the Touch, but accompanied with scenes from various episodes of Transformers, thus upping the proverbial ante. This continued, mosty staying in the music genre, for a while until we had each posted about 5 or 6 videos. The whole experience was really amusing to me, as there was no discussion about the videos or explanation for them; Just a continual volley of links back and forth. Thus, the YouTube Battle was born.
The rules are simple: Players take turns submitting YouTube links in an attempt to out do their opponent. Any video is fair game, but it's generally accepted that players should try to be creative and not post links that have made the rounds on the Internet before. That tends to backfire, anyway. At the end of five rounds, the videos are posted online for viewers to vote on. The voting criteria is completely subjective and arbitrary. It doesn't have to be the funniest, or the most well produced. Just whichever the viewer wants to vote on.
With that said, here are the moves for our latest competition, YouTube Battle VI. Let the voting begin.
