The time finally came to take possession of our new house, and it's pretty great. Central air in August is about the best thing ever. Unfortunately along with a new house means moving all of our stuff. As if that weren't bad enough, our lease at the office is also up. So that means two moves at the same time.
When it's time for a big move, I usually start by trying to get things organized, and then just give up and slip into "throw everything away" mode or "sell it all" mode. I posted a few items on Craigslist and made a few bucks, but unfortunately I didn't have any takers on my desk. I already have a desk I use at home, and I only paid $40 for the office desk almost two years ago, so it wasn't a big disappointment. Instead, Phil, Nathan and I decided to get creative with how to get rid of it when nobody else wanted it. Sorry for the poor quality, but it was a last-minute thing and all I had was the video recorder on my RAZR phone.
But furniture destruction aside, the office is now completely emptied and the keys have been returned. I have my office set up at the new house, and now we can focus on getting just one residence emptied and cleaned.
