If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, I'm sure you have gathered by now that I am completely and totally obsessed with Instagram.  I LOVE it. Like, LOVE LOVE it.  4-EVA.  This past weekend we loaded up Team Soell minus Gus and the kitties and headed to Philadelphia for a little visit.  We've been wanting to explore the city for a while and so we decided a little trip for my upcoming birthday was in order.  Lucy travels like a pro and handled the eight hour drive so well.  I decided to leave the Big Camera in it's case and captured our trip mostly via iPhone.

Our Hotel was in the Rittenhouse square area and we spent time mostly exploring the Bella Vista and Queen Village Neighborhoods.  We didn't really get to any of the touristy historical stuff, I guess we'll have to go back soon!

We enjoyed our trip so much.  The weather was beautiful, we got the chance to meet up with some local friends, and ate some really delicious food.  A weekend well spent.

Restaurants We Loved: Morning Glory Diner (hello goat cheese and berry pancakes!), Slice, Steaks on South, Audrey Claire

Coffee We Loved: Shot Tower

Desinations We Loved: Italian Market

Yesterday I made the grave mistake of drinking coffee after 12:00 PM.  Being particularly sensative to caffeine, I should definitely know better, but I was feeling like I needed a boost to get my ass to the gym and Andy was making his afternoon coffee so....well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.  Bed time comes, I take my nightly melatonin, and it makes me just drowsy enough to dose off but not really sleep deeply.  I have a vague recollection of waking up, hunting down my phone, and pulling up a shop website I had been eyeing all day.  Turns out they accept PayPal so after a few clicks, I had a full cart and I didn't even have to get out of bed to grab my credit card.  Apparently I sleep shop now.  Awesome.  The things I bought I ended up still liking this morning so I guess all's well that ends well.

The shop I was obsessing over all day yesterday is Shop Rouche, a lovely vintage inspired online botique with beautiful clothes and jewelry and cute things for the home too.  I'm in love with almost everything in their store. These are some of my favorites.

Oh my goodness, I'll admit when I saw these on Pinterest yesterday I got WAY too excited. Now, thanks to some lovely illustrations and ingenious writing, you can begin to foster an appreciation for classic literature in your wee one.  I think they would make lovely birthday gifts for the littles or shower gifts for your mama friends.  Pride and Prejudice and Romeo and Juliet are available for purchase now.  Alice in Wonderland and Jane Eyre are available for pre-order.  I am definitely putting them all on my Lucy Wish List.

I really, really love buying beauty products, but I have a whole drawer dedicated to things I thought I would like but once I got them home didn't work out for one reason or another.  I also have expensive tastes.  I don't really want to know how much of my money is sitting in that drawer completely wasted. So when saw a few friends on twitter talking about Birchbox, a high end beauty sample subscription service I was excited to try it out.  Basically, for ten dollars a month, a cute little box of samples chosen based on your own customizable profile comes to your door so you can try out products before committing.

December was my first month getting the box and there were definitely a few products I will be adding to my wish list.

Befine Gentle Cleanser: I like this well enough, but not as much as what I'm currently using (Philosophy: Purity Made Simple)
Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Birchbox Pink: I LOVE this lip gloss.  Not too sticky, not as bright as it looks and lasts a decent amount of time.  This shade is curently sold out right now, but I definitely want to snatch some up when it's available.
Loreal Professional Mythic Oil: This is also a favorite product from the box.  I have been rubbing it into the ends of my hair after I blow dry. It smells great and it keeps the frizz and dryness that comes with curly hair products to a minimum.
Harvey Prince Yogini Fragrance: Smells nice enough, but a little too much Sandlewood for my taste.  If you like deep earthy scents, it may be a good match for you.
EBOOST Orange Natural Energy Booster: I really liked the taste and it would be a good alternative to my usual afternoon coffee/tea boost.

Showstoppers Designer Fashion Tape: Not really my thing, but I'll hang on to it in case I ever need it
