I took a little hiatus from blogging for the last 26 days because life started getting a little bit crazy and I needed to free up some head space to focus on important things like showering and keeping my toenails a reasonable length.  You would be surprised by the first things to go when you are as emotionally fragile as I am.  The burden of starting East Avenue is heavier than I thought it would be...the hours are longer and the decisions are harder to make but I couldn't be happier that I am working my tail off doing something I love.  I didn't take a break from taking pictures, however.  In fact the last month has been quite the opposite.  I'm starting to feel like my camera(s) are a shiny new appendage I would feel lost without.  So without further ado...the last 26 days in pictures:

Day 148:  Peeptini

...that's right, Happy Easter folks, it's a Peeptini. Normally I hate peeps, but soaked in vodka and a ton of sweet girly drink mix they taste pretty damn good.  Who knew?

Day 149:  Pretty

Day 150: Eighties chandelier

Day 151: lewis & clarke

These guys used to stay with us back in the Java House days so it was great to see them again when they were playing in Columbus.  If you don't own any of their music, I urge you to stop what you are doing and purchase it immediately(available on itunes, amazon, and emusic)...it's beautiful and amazing.  Also, they perform live with a cellist AND and harpist.  It's astounding how wonderful they are as musicians and as humans.

Day 152: Circles

Day 153: GGW

Even with his eyes closed I think this picture is hilarious...I didn't notice the GGW bus at first but I can't say that I didn't seize the opportunity to frame it in the shot once I did notice it.

Day 154: New Jade

I really like Jade plants.  I think it's because you have to really put some effort in to your laziness in order to kill them.  That is not to say I've never done it.

Day 155:  Warm enough to sit outside for longer than five minutes

Day 156:  More rain

Day 157: lovely colors

Day 158: Sweet baby Emma is three months old

Day 159: A little afternoon Scrabble

Day 160: Husband

Isn't that kid adorable?

Day 161: Sidewalk chalk

The cute little girls that live a couple houses down (they can't be older than 8 and 10) LOOOOVE the sidewalk chalk.  I always find their messages fascinating.  "Obama Rules" was among "I *heart* You, Mommy" "Jessica is the fiercest" and "Fashion Rules."  They clearly do not understand the definition of "rules." Only one thing can rule.  Obama or fashion, kids?  YOU CAN ONLY PICK ONE.

Day 162: New bookshelves

I can't tell you how glad I am to see my books again.  They have been packed away in boxes since we moved in because our old bookshelves wouldn't fit.  I was so excited, I made Andy bring all the boxes of books down from the attic as soon as the shelves were assembled and secure and I lovingly and carefully arranged all the books by color (you know what I'm talking about Martha Stewart fans).  Andy thought this was a horrible idea and has taken the opportunity to mock me to EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has entered our house since then.  I caved and they are now arranged in no particular way. A little piece of me dies every time I look in their direction.

Day 163: Frankie's new chair

Day 164: Seventies Jesus totally kicked Satan's ass

Tom Sellick (is that spelled right? I'm too lazy to google it and find out) didn't stand a chance

Day 165: Chuck wannabee

For those of you who have never had the pleasure of making little Gus' acquaintance, you should know he has the attention span of a gnat  and this is a breakthrough of monumental proportions.  We are very proud.

Day 166:  Cold

37 degrees in April is ridiculous.  I hate it when spring decides it just can't be bothered to show up.  It's APRIL spring!  Enough already.

167: little ears

Day 168: Sweet

This is one of those photos I'm always tempted to throw out because it's not 'perfect.'  The focus is in the wrong place and his eyes are a little dark but their expressions are so real.  So I kept it.

Day 169: Attempting to start a garden

I bought this cool little tray at Lowes for 7 bucks.  There is something really satisfying about growing something.  It's really too bad I have no idea what I'm doing.

Day 170:  8 dozen corn muffins and still going

Day 171: The "Could you spare some bacon?" face

Day 172: Hott

Andy got Rock Band today...it's an early birthday present.

Day 173: Favorite couple

I know you're not supposed to pick favorites but these guys are so fun and so happy together it's hard not to.

Day 174: Honey I Shrunk the Kidsesque
